LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about Rosa Madera! Food? Delicious. Ambiance? Beautiful! Service? Excellent. I can't say enough good things about this place and I recommend it to everyone. Mikey and Angel were our servers on 2 separate visits and they both went above and beyond, providing excellent service to our entire group. Thank you!! We'll definitely be back.

5 minutes from my house, I'll absolutely be back! Went on a Friday night about 5:30. We were able to join the waitlist from home and headed over just after. Grabbed a cocktail and had about a 15 minute wait. Service Hostesses were so friendly and professional. Warm smile and great customer service. Bartender was great too. Greeted us and got our drinks quickly despite the whole place being packed. Weird, we were greeted by one server who went to get waters, then nobody came to us for probably 10 minutes and it was a different server. My guess is, our original server was off or went on her break and we were forgotten about. No biggie though, the girl who took over did amazing! She checked on us frequently and was flawless. Food For the most part, it was good. We ordered the queso appetizer and it was literally hard, sticky cheese. Couldn't even dip it with a chip and had to use a fork to cut into it. It's like they let it sit too long while cooking or in the warming window and was not liquid enough. I love cheese, and I couldn't eat more than a bite. My husband didn't eat any. Besides that, the food was great. Rice and beans were good and my chili relleno was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. And their TORTILLAS! Best restaurant corn tortillas I have ever had in my life, no joke. I LOVED them! Cocktails Absolutely amazing. Beautifully balanced, actually had alcohol in them, gorgeous presentation. My complaint is the pricing. $28 for a double patron margarita?! For midtown, sure. For Elk Grove, it's pricy. Not to mention, the location. Not exactly the most upscale place. Frequented by half-slumped drugees, the same parking lot as homeless encampments, and not somewhere I want to be late at night. Or pay $28 for a drink. Ambiance I read a review that said it's more of a loud scene, and that is true! They play music loud and do big celebrations for birthdays (there were 3 when we went). There was a mixture of families, young people, couples, and friends. A good vibe for everyone. It's BEAUTIFULLY decorated. Lovely light fixtures, greenery and roses, absolutely adored it. Wanted to give five stars. Maybe next time!

Came for my mom's bday. Everyone had nothing but good things to say about their dishes. The homemade tortillas were delicious. I had the molcajete which was very tasty and a good size. But the seasonal drinks were the highlight of the night. I had the horchata one and the pumpkin one and they were probably some of the best drinks I've ever had!! Definitely going back, make sure you add yourself to the waitlist because they can go from no wait to an hour wait in 10 min.

A couple of friends and ai decided to get together for dinner after work to grab happy hours. Happy hour ended at 6:00pm we got to the restaurant by 5:45 sat down and ordered. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful. Looking at the outside of the restaurant you would not think the inside would look like it did. The bar is quite modern/elegant. The Happy hour we ordered almost everything on the list..Everything was delicious, we would come back again

This place is a VIBE!! We came here to take my sister out for her 21st. The drinks were all delicious, we did multiple shooters and drinks. ALL 10/10!! The server (sorry didn't catch his name) was so nice and on it constantly. Making sure we had water, drinks, food came out a bit late. Some of our group had their plates, while others didn't. Aside from that, service was amazing. And the food was really good! It was SO packed. There was a line all the way out the door. They don't take reservations, so make sure you show up early or expect to wait. Let me mention, we were a party of 12 and we waited about 25 minutes to be seated and we showed up right when they opened Sunday @11am. I really want to come back again. This place was a fun time and great food!

Chef's kiss for Rosa Madera. I came with a friend on a Sunday for lunch and we were able to be seated right away. Right when we walked in, we were captivated at how well-decorated it was and impressed by the murals of Frida Kahlo and other art. Next, the mariachi band started playing inside the restaurant as we were headed to our table. This is a loud place, so you should take that into consideration when dining here. We loved how lively it felt inside and it was much more than I expected upon arrival. We ordered a margarita and an amor eterno cocktail, and both of the drinks were easy to drink and rosy. For food, I had the mar y tierra (thin asada steak with garlic shrimp) with rice and beans, and the rice was next level good. It was fluffy and flavorful. My friend got carnitas tacos with double rice in place of beans, and she said the tacos here might be her new favorite. The menu is pretty large, so it's the kind of place you'll have to come back to try other items on the menu. They had a good amount of large tables and also smaller tables so it would be a good option if you have a big party. I would just recommend making a reservation if you do have a larger party. While we were here, there were two birthdays and we saw that the employees came out with sparklers and a tequila shot for the birthday tables. So this could also be a good birthday lunch or dinner option. The staff was nice and we were checked on throughout our lunch. Highly recommend this place for a nice meal out.

Angel made my birthday so special with his incredible customer service. The atmosphere and ambience was amazing. Angel even stayed longer past his shift to accommodate our party. I will be coming back with my family thanks to Angel! Thank you Rosa Madera!
